This work was featured in a solo exhibition titled “Morphology” at Hodges Taylor Gallery in Charlotte, NC. In these pieces, the linear layering of 3D-printed clay is juxtaposed with vertical incisions that evoke the warp and weft of textiles. Incorporating optical effects heightens perceptual engagement, shifting the focus from function to material presence. The prints on paper translate volumetric forms into two-dimensional compositions. Unlike their ceramic counterparts, these prints are not bound by the constraints of gravity, scale, or physical materiality, allowing for alternative perspectives and arrangements.
