Drawn from personal notebooks, the work integrates art school sketches with commercial floral decals sourced during time spent teaching in Jingdezhen, China.
Layered imagery mirrors the fluid nature of memory, where details sharpen or dissolve over time. Translating paper into ceramic explores material permanence in a post-digital age, questioning preservation, authorship, and the shifting “aura” of objects. The series reflects a broader practice—blurring boundaries between craft and technology while reasserting the tactile presence of handmade artifacts in contemporary culture.
