This new process and the resulting works are a result of an ongoing collaboration with a small, family-owned aluminum foundry in northern Beijing. While normally producing parts for machinery, the foundry agreed to let us use the site for a series of material experiments. Perhaps the most rewarding result of this project has been how this shared material exploration has been a conduit for cultural exchange between ourselves and the men and women working at the factory.
